Programme Levels
Five catalogues spanning the full professional journey — from free introductory courses through to strategic leadership development. All subscriptions include training access only; NFPA, IFE, ICDL and HSI examinations are charged separately.
Catalogue 1: Fundamentals
IFECASA's social-responsibility catalogue of free courses supporting the organisation's overall mandate. An introduction to key knowledge areas and the starting point for every professional journey. All sessions are self-paced online with automated assessment and STEAM certification.
Catalogue 2: Professional Proficiency
Mandatory underpinning skills for all operational certification pathways. Mathematics, science, communication, digital and community-engagement capabilities mapped to JPRs, NFPA Standards and IFE Knowledge Requirements.
Catalogue 3: Operational
The entry point for professional certification — equivalent to Foundation/Bronze Practitioner Level. Core offering for regional standardisation, quality assurance and workforce professionalisation. Includes Civil Defence and Industrial pathways, ProBoard/NFPA routes, Firefighter development, hazardous materials, instructor development and the IFE Level 2 Certificate (180 hrs) which grants eligibility for IFE Examination Registration.
Catalogue 4: Tactical
Supervisory, command, specialist practice and progression. Includes Fire Officer I & II, Incident Safety, Technical Rescue, Aviation and Marine Firefighting, Fire Investigation, advanced Instructor development and the IFE Level 3 Certificate (240 hrs). Completing Firefighter II or the full IFE Level 3 Certificate unlocks TIFireE membership and EngTech registration eligibility. The IFE Level 4 Diploma (~603 hrs) unlocks MIFireE membership and Strategic Level entry.
Catalogue 5: Strategic
Senior leadership development preparing leaders to shape systems, people and regional capability. Senior Fire Officer III & IV, advanced inspection, master instructor development, executive leadership, governance, succession planning, strategic incident command and research. Future additions include Executive Leadership, Disaster Management Leadership, Emergency Management Director and Strategic Incident Command programmes.
Credentials and Recognition
Every programme page clearly distinguishes what each course leads to. NFPA, IFE, ICDL, HSI and other examinations or assessments are separate unless the programme page explicitly states they are included.
IFECASA or STEAM certificate of completion.
Assessed internal award with pass criteria.
Prepares for an external examination (not included).
Third-party examination or credential (fees may apply separately).
Supports IFE membership evidence and progression.
